Shades of Green

quality hostas for serious collectors

Hosta
We grow our hostas in pots and in the field. Many of our hostas in the field are grown in more sun than they would prefer. As a result, the leaves brown in the summer and they look unsightly. The roots, however, are to die for! We pick only the best for our customers. Since I love to shop for hostas, I will search out the nicest, fullest plants to ship to you.
Please keep in mind when you are ordering, that the newest plants will not likely be large, multi-eyed divisions. They will be healthy and true to name.
All of our hostas are virus indexed and are free from HVX. If you are visiting our nursery in person and are concerned about one of your hostas, just bring in a leaf and you can test it while you shop. We charge a small fee for testing in order to help keep our costs down.
Please send me a list of the hostas you would like to order and I will make you an invoice.
Hemerocallis
We grow our daylilies in the field. We cultivate them the old fashioned way. We do not sell tissue cultured daylilies. As a result, many of our daylilies are in limited supply. If there is something that you are looking for and don't see it, please inquire, as we may have one or two available. Please order your daylilies early so you are not disappointed if we sell out.
Whenever possible, we include 2 fans with each daylily. Please notice that some varieties are sold with multiple fans.
